Well is dark comedy at its finest. Lisa Kron, the multi-talented humorist, performer, playwright, and Tony Award-winning writer and lyricist behind the Broadway hit Fun Home takes us on a hilarious, self-referential journey that explores everything from chronic allergies, to community organizing, and most importantly, to her loving, raucous, unpredictable relationship with her mother.

This production brought legendary Seattle stage veteran Barbara Dirickson back to the city to play Ann Kron opposite Sarah Rudinoff’s Lisa Kron. It was the Northwest premiere of the play.

Reviews

“Sarah Rudinoff, who displays a sniper’s deadly accuracy for hitting punchlines, both verbal and physical is a revelation. Whether she’s explaining the peculiarities of growing up Jewish in a strictly Christian Midwestern neighborhood or recounting her alienating grade-school obsessions. This is Kron’s story, but Rudinoff melds with the material so completely, it might as well be hers.”

-Dusty Somers, The Seattle Times

The night belongs to Rudinoff and Dirickson. These two great ladies of the theatre are from decidedly different generations in this world, but onstage, they are family. I’ve no doubt that every single performance will be different, as Rudinoff and Dirickson are so in the moment that a wall of the stage could and might fall over.”
